Our first stop was in Utrecht, The Netherlands, a city where my brother Chris lived and studied in 2003. And while Kristina and I met in Amsterdam, she had never been to Utrecht, so it was a new experience for her. We were lucky with a beautiful, although somewhat chilly, spring day and enjoyed walking the canals, learning the history of the Domplein (cathedral square) and enjoying our first Belgian beers of the trip at Kafe België.
