So what would you do with a giant bowl of tiny unpeeled shrimp? Eat them whole with a fork, try to peel them? Maybe someone out there knows, but I honestly had no idea what I was expected to do. And given my generally poor French, discussing the finer points of shrimp eating methods seemed off the table. So in any case, after a few moments of paralyzing indecision, I tried both ways, and was not really disappointed with either. I was firmly relieved though, when a neighboring table ordered the same dish. It seems that you do get your hands dirty, break of the head and tail and eat the main body as is. I have to admit, a little easier than trying to squeeze a tiny bit of shrimp meat out of a 2cm shell.
