Mike, Amelia, Kevin and Sara were all visiting us in Copenhagen around the time we bought the car almost 5 years ago. It’s been great fun ever since – a roadtrip to Skagen, Denmark, a trip around the Baltics and countless drives up the coast and around Sjælland. But it’s safe to say that this road trip will be the crowning achievement of its 46 year life. So far it has been a pleasure to drive, especially in the countryside of Belgium and France. Now we are looking forward to making our way south through France and Spain and many more enjoyable hours in the classic Volkswagen.

Pictures from the road
The pictures in the countryside make it look like you are racing in some sort of heritage rally! Each time that it needs work, please try to get a picture of one of you with the mechanic. I think stories about breakdowns are some of the best road trip stories.
Not that I am saying that your 50 year old car is gonna break down or anything. . .
Love the castle symbol on the steering wheel – classic.
Such a rad car. Glad we helped spur your decision to buy it.
Saucy set of wheels!
A worthy chariot for an epic trip.
Thanks for all of your comments. Two weeks and 2,000 kilometers, still running strong.
You are definitely travelling in style! 🙂
Cute car, but why are you advertising Camels?
Haha, yeah, we know, not the most PC thing ever. And I mean, they should probably be paying us for this. But seriously, we did discuss recently with some of Kristina’s younger cousins and they didn’t even know the brand, thought it was just a camel (I guess decades of advertising bans have had an impact).
