As we set out on the next leg of our world tour, we are excited but also a tiny bit apprehensive. While we have planned out a lot of our journey in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand in advance, and are fairly experienced travelers at this point (especially recently), we are still somewhat unsettled as we begin at least 6-7 months on the road with no return ticket.
Before heading to Bangkok on October 4, we took the train to Stockholm to spend the weekend with some old friends. There we had a great dinner at a trendy Thai restaurant in Martin’s neighborhood (consider it a warm up), visited the Fotografiska Museum, saw the Vasa shipwreck, went on a chanterelle mushroom hunt in the Swedish forest, and capped off the weekend with a classic fondue dinner party. Oh, and we also had a couple of craft beers including John’s first home brew.
What an adventure!
Also, you guys are hobos now.
Just kidding – trying to match the contrasting tones of the original post.
