1 Monday afternoon in Copenhagen

We recently arrived safely back in Copenhagen and it’s been great to catch our breath a bit since then. While we have a number of projects and small trips planned over the next month and a half, we are also focused on simply relaxing and exploring our own city (something you too often forget to do).

In that vein, on Monday we went to check out the Metropolis Festival (arts and performance) which is currently running throughout the city. We found a great installation piece in Frederiksberg called Snorejunglen (or “string jungle” in English), see pictures for the obvious basis of the name.

From there we decided to drop by WarPigs, the relatively new microbrewery joint venture between Mikkeller (DK) and Three Floyds (USA). We have always liked Mikkeller’s beers, but glad to see the famous gypsy brewer finally “settle down” in Vesterbro’s Kødbyen. The beers were delicious and the BBQ smelled great. We’ll be sure to go back another day to continue our way through their rotating 20 taps and sample the brisket and ribs which are smoked in the 2 largest smokers in Europe (their claim, but I guess probably legit).
