Once in a while we like to take a break from beer tasting and experience a little high culture. So when we stumbled on opera season in Verona, we decided to check it out. The show was great fun (luckily, we had researched the plot online first) and it was amazing to sit in the partial ruins of the old Roman amphitheater. The one down side – it was blazing sun and nearly 40° all day, so the stones of the theater were literally hot to the touch 3 hours after sunset (or as Kristina said, it was like sitting on a pre-heated pizza stone).
